COURSE OVERVIEW

B.Ed is a 2 years undergraduate program that moulds the aspirants into qualified teachers who would help in the process of nation building in the future. B.Ed is an important academic course because, the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) has made the B.Ed degree compulsory for aspirants who wish to become a teacher in public schools in India at any level.

The Department tries to maintain high standard of teaching. Students are encouraged to get more knowledge through extra guidance by the faculty members. The department tries to promote interactive teaching- learning through individual guidance and supervision of students during practice teaching. Lesson Planning, Micro Teaching, Simulated Teaching, Class-room Teaching are given importance in preparation of practice teaching. Supervision and evaluation of practice teaching is done by the faculty members. We have one intermediate school, run by the same managing body, for the purpose of practice teaching.
